Santa Lucia's Spa

Along California's central coast, the Santa Lucia mountains rise abruptly from the Pacific Ocean and the result is what we call Big Sur. This was taken of the Salmon Creek falls in the morning just as the fog from the summer marine layer was burning off. You could see the top of the falls from a distance, but then realized some mild rock climbing was necessary to get to this point, which wouldn't have been a big deal if I was prepared but I was wearing only flip flops and had no camera pack with me so I was carrying a tripod and my camera strapped over my shoulder.
