Description
"Pacific Eruption"
This was one of the most intense sunsets that I've ever witnessed and it happened to be over a spot that had eluded me for a while. I had set out to this other worldly location several times hoping for a great sunset to reflect in the pools of water. Time after time, the marine layer would come in and I wouldn't get much of a sunset and then I'd leave disappointed. The clouds looked promising late one afternoon so we decided to head to La Jolla and I camped out on this spot with no idea what was about to happen. Initially I thought I was going to get skunked again as the sun dipped below the horizon and then boom! The sky suddenly erupted with red and purple tones and I don't ever remember being so excited for a sunset. How bittersweet it was and the best things come to those with patience Please feel free to leave me a comment, critique, or share this image.
